went to cerritos to visit jp and baby ethan (so cute! so much hair!). we had jp’s mom’s miso soup, galbi, salad, radish, and crunchy garlic rice. then we piled in the car and drove all over anaheim looking for ethiopian food. first place: closed. second place: seemed open but really closed. third place: abyssinia ethiopian cuisine – score! we walked in just before closing time. the menu was slightly different: the yebeg alicha kikill was lamb mixed with injera in a drier yellow curry sauce; the miser wot had a sweetness i haven’t had in other versions, and the yebere derek tibs was nice and spicy. we ordered the collards but received the cabbage – not disappointed at all. so glad we struck out twice before finding this place.
