had my camera for a few days but headaches got in the way of picture taking. i finally started flexing its muscles – of course, i took pictures of plants. what else would i take pictures of?

awwww, look at that creamy depth of field…

have you ever watched a movie with 17,000 other people? we (plus az and rb) went to the sing-a-long sound of music last night at the hollywood bowl. we got swag! and tried to sing along with julie andrews. the crowd turned on their flashlights during every performance of edelweiss and it was almost like the sun came out. ok, that’s an exaggeration, but the bowl was so bright the screen looked dim. i. swear.

despite feeling under the weather, i was so glad we went and would consider going again.

when we awoke, our thermostat was broken. it’s supposed to be freakin’ hot today/this weekend (82/84/89). and i have to go to work. work is always getting in the way these days. i drove all the way to san dimas today to put my dslr skills to the test, photographing a device that hovers and flies. it’s a much different subject than a sleeping baby. back to the thermostat, in typical yuppie homeowner fashion, we bought a nest. it’s purty. i almost electrocuted m by forgetting to turn off the furnace breaker and being stubborn about turning off the main power breaker. but she’s alive so no harm done.
